The Lucie Foundation is proud to present its second Open Call in partnership with Musée Magazine. This Open Call will feature 40 photographers / images that will be displayed in an Online Exhibition on both Lucie Foundation and Musée’s websites, 10 images from each category.

The top 10 images / finalists will also be published in a dedicated article in the Fall issue of Musée Magazine.


Theme for this Open Call is: IN ISOLATION: YOU, ME, WE

We know that many of you are seeking creative outlets during this time of isolation and want to see the compelling work you are creating.  While it is not mandatory to submit images created while in quarantine, we strongly encourage you to submit what you have captured around your home environment during this time.

Photographers of all backgrounds and using all formats are welcome to submit up to 5 images per category.

Finalists will be selected by our panel of jurors.


Introducing a new prize in partnership with Sony!

The photographer voted with the highest score from our jury will also win a brand new Sony camera and lens, valued at over $4000. Model to be announced soon.

Anyone can apply worldwide. All mediums of photography are acceptable. Photographer must have a high-definition file of image(s) submitted ready to send should your work be chosen. Photographer will be able to submit up to 5 images of their work for $20 in each category

All submissions must be within the theme: IN ISOLATION: YOU, ME, WE

Categories: Portrait, Documentary, Fine Art and Landscape

Those images submitted that do not fall within the theme will not be considered.


Deadline for submissions: July 15, 2020



The photographer must be the sole author and owner of the copyright of photos entered in to the competition. Copyright and all other rights remain that of the photographer. Any photograph used by Lucie Foundation and Musée shall carry the photographer’s credit line and will not be used for any other purposes other than the exhibition and promotional material for the exhibition including online and through social media and email newsletters. Images may be displayed on the Lucie Foundation and Musée website and social media platforms for promotion of the Open Call.


Is there a limit to the number of images each artist may submit?

Yes, you may submit up to 5 images per category. Application fee same for 1 or 5 images.

Can I submit in multiple categories?

Yes, you can submit in as many categories as you would like but each category is a separate fee – $20.00 per image or series for each category.

What images should I submit?

Submit the best images you feel represent the theme IN ISOLATION: YOU, ME, WE within the category of your choosing.

How should I prepare my files?

Please prepare your files according to the specifications below.

  • JPG only (NO TIF, GIF, PNG, PDF files will be accepted.)
  • 72 DPI
  • No file should exceed 4mb
  • Minimum 1,000 pixels on the longest side
  • Name the file with your last name following by title of the image. Please do not use symbols or spaces in the file name. If your submission is a series of images, please number them and upload in order of importance. Note: The first image should be the best/strongest in the series.
  • You must have a HD file of images submitted

Can I send print materials, books or CD’s?

No, Lucie Foundation accepts online submissions only.

When will the finalists be announced? 

Finalists will be announced by email mid-August. Online winner’s gallery will go up on the websites around mid-September, with the print gallery appearing in Musée Magazine in their Fall issue.

How will I know if I was selected? 

If you were selected for the group show, you will be contacted directly through the email which you provided in the submission form. The finalists will also be announced via the Lucie Foundation newsletter, website, and social media. Unfortunately, due to the volume of submissions, we are not able to notify if you were not selected.
