Los Angeles, Calif. (June 26th, 2017) – The Lucie Foundation announces the launch of 22 new Lucie Editions, totaling the collection at 56 works. The Lucie Editions are limited edition, signed poster prints by master photographers that have been recognized at The Lucie Awards between 2003 and 2016. These Lucie Honorees represent some of the most important photographers of the 21st century. Some of the photographers from the first Lucie Editions include Melvin Sokolsky, Steve McCurry, Douglas Kirkland, Jerry Uelsmann, Erwin Olaf, Reza Deghati, and more.

This program was created with the intention to make iconic photographs by the Lucie Honoree photographers more accessible to aspiring photographers and photo enthusiasts around the world. The 22 new limited-edition posters have been produced in signed editions of 50 and unsigned editions of 450, and they are available for pre-order at a discounted rate until July 15th, 2017. This second phase of posters includes the following Lucie Honorees and their iconic photographs: Arno Rafael Minkkinen, Victor Skrebneski, Bruce Davidson, Eli Reed, Nobuyoshi Araki, Lisa Kristine, Arthur Leipzig, Gianni Berengo Gardin, Li Zhensheng, Herman Leonard, John Iacono, and George Tice.

Arno Rafael Minkkinen, a Finnish American Photographer and also the 2013 Lucie Honoree for the Achievement in Fine Art Award, commented on “how beautifully the editions turned out.” Minkkinen’s two Lucie Editions, “10.10.10., Fosters Pond, 2010” and “Stranda, Norway, 2006,” are photographs that exemplify Minkkinen’s devotion to the self-portrait. Two of his most iconic shots, these editions epitomize his well-known style: unmanipulated images of the nude human figure in both natural and urban settings.

October marks the ninth year since the formation of the Lucie Foundation, and the 15th year of The Lucie Awards, the ceremony held annually at Carnegie Hall in New York City. The Lucie Editions were created to continue to honor the photographers feted at the ceremony each year.
