I…” Akkar, Lebanon: 110 Syrian refugees live in tents erected inside an abandoned slaughterhouse. At night, they get on their mobiles and text home, hoping for news from friends and relatives still trapped along the front lines of the civil war. Later, I photographed their phones and had the messages they hadn’t deleted (for security) translated from Arabic to English.
