Sailor and woodworker, Vic Smith, lives aboard a 27ft Catalina sailboat in Marina Del Rey, California. He owns a trailer he keeps parked in the marina’s parking lot loaded with tools and electric table saws where he creates custom wood pieces. To power his tools, he runs an extension cord to the nearby marine office. During the summer, he’s the captain of a local sailing fleet where he maps out the racing course, blows the whistle to start the races, and makes the custom wooden trophies for the winners.
