2012 LUCIE AWARD HONOREES ANNOUNCED FOR THE 10TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION.

On December 7, 2003, 700 guests attended the first annual Lucie Awards. Since then, thousands of individuals have gathered in celebration of photography and to pay tribute to Lucie Honorees, present awards from our sister effort, The International Photography Awards and recognize those individuals integral to crafting an image through the Support Category Awards. To commemorate this milestone, we will return to the Beverly Hilton International Ballroom on Monday, October 8, 2012. This year's honorees nominated by our Advisory Board are (in no particular order):

Lifetime Achievement - Joel Meyerowitz
Achievement in Fine Art - Arthur Tress
Achievement in Documentary - Tod Papageorge
Achievement in Sports - John Biever
Achievement in Photojournalism - David Burnett
Achievement in Portraiture - Greg Gorman
Double Exposure Award - Jessica Lange

The Lucie Awards are the signature program of the Lucie Foundation and are presented with the generous support of atEdge, APA, ASMP, Phase One and Photo District News. A special thank you to atEdge and PDN who've been partners since 2003.

Don't delay in purchasing your ticket. A limited amount of discounted tickets to the seated dinner and awards presentation are available through September 8 here.
