“Some times we just have fruits to eat. We go out and look for papayas, watermelons or other crops nearby and we take them, the owners of those crops let us take some fruit, is not much, just so we can eat something during the week. Other times the tobacco producers, our boses, pay us with that, with papayas, can you imagine that? We get pay with papayas…”says Mr. Joaquin, a tobacco laborer.
