AND THE LUCIE GOES TO...

The 10th anniversary of The Lucie Awards was a monumental success and was well-received by the Los Angeles photography community. The black-tie gala affair was hosted by The Talk's Aisha Tyler, who progressed the evening with humor. The event was well attended by an interntional audience of photographers, editors, curators, art buyers, collectors and photography enthusiasts. Congratulations to the International Photography Awards (IPA), our sister-efforts' finalists and winners, to Donna Wan for receiving the inaugural APA/Lucie Foundation Scholarship, to the Support Category winners, and last (but not least), the Lucie Honorees. It was an extraordinary evening, and we are grateful to all who supported the event – from sponsors, donors and partners to our volunteers and staff.

Please take a moment to learn about this year's IPA finalists, Lucie Support Category winners and Lucie Honorees.

The 2012 FotoVisura Grant:
The deadline is December 15, 2012 at 12pmEST.
The Grant is divided into two categories: FotoVisura Grant and the Spotlight Student Grant.

The FotoVisura Grant seeks to recognize a photographer and his or her personal photography project. FotoVisura honors photographers who are committed and dedicated to their project, and whose involvement with the project is to such an extent that he or she seeks to reach a larger audience in order to bring awareness to the project and cause, and at times, even bring about change. Both Justin Maxon (2010 FV winner) and Erin Trieb (2011 FV Winner) exemplify the FotoVisura Grant.

Individually, they each share the values of commitment and dedication to their projects. In addition, they have transcended the image by either selling work to donate to an organization or family, or created a non profit organization to bring about awareness to the cause.
