2012 apa/Lucie Foundation Scholarship RECipient - DONNA j. WAN!

Thank you to all of the photographers who submitted work for consideration in this year's APA / Lucie Foundation Scholarship call.

On behalf of both Association of Photographic Artists (APA) and Lucie Foundation, we would like to congratulate Donna J. Wan for being named the inaugural recipient of the APA / Lucie Foundation Scholarship. Wan will be awarded the $5,000 scholarship onstage, at the Tenth Annual Lucie Awards in Los Angeles.

The Lucie Foundation is proud to support photographers who progress the art form of still photography through original subject matter, content, and process. Working with APA National, The APA / Lucie Scholarship provides grants for projects and photographers with an ambitious scope for their work. One $5,000 grant will go to an individual working on a portfolio or specific body of work. Our support of photography is broad, from photojournalism to fashion photography, digital to medium format, including every other category and subcategory. Our concern isn't with genre, but rather to support innovative work and to aid in artist visibility through exhibition of new work in a metropolitan gallery setting, as well as publication of the work in book format for increased exposure.
